Hello to all. I would like to introduce myself. I am Lornell Hansen II, M.D.,  Medical Director and the owner of LazaDerm Skincare Centre. I am a graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and then completed residency in family medicine. I am  Board Certified in Family Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. I worked as a family physician for the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Major. I left the Air Force in 2000 to start in private practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I practiced for 6 years with wonderful partners at the Sanford Sycamore Clinic. My passion, however, led me to the field of advanced skincare. As a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Phlebology, I have become the area’s leading expert on laser technology. I am continuously researching and training in laser surgery, minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, and skin care. I am the only physician in the region that devotes 100% of my time to this industry.

My vision is to provide the region with the most advanced minimally invasive procedures for skin and body rejuvenation at an affordable price. I am passionate about serving our valued clients and ensuring their comfort, safety, and education. I envision the use of this blog to discuss specific cosmetic problems as well as new technologies that are on the market or coming to the market. As you will learn, many new products are not as great as they seem. I will attempt to explain my reasoning for accepting a new technology or avoiding the technology. You will see that many companies will over promise and under deliver on results. I hope that many of you will find this blog helpful in your research for skin and vein treatments.
